January 2025 Impact Report
Hyperbaric Healing for Concussions, Veterans, and Community
Reflecting on Healing: January’s Impact at Healing with Hyperbarics
As we kick off 2025, we’re proud to share the powerful strides made at Healing with Hyperbarics in Fargo. From treating concussions to supporting our veterans and contributing to the local community, every session reflects our commitment to healing and innovation through hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) therapy.
Changing the Standard of Concussion Care
We are changing the standard of care for concussions from “management” to treatment. Far too many concussion patients are told to manage symptoms with rest but are not given a true treatment to allow them to return to all activities, symptom-free.
Our approach to treating concussions with hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) therapy offers a new path to recovery—shifting the standard of care from passive symptom monitoring to active healing.
“Wow, what a great place with kind and caring staff. Everything was explained thoroughly prior to beginning treatments. The facility was really clean and accommodating to allow internet access, so I could work while waiting. Most importantly, my son had amazing results after each treatment with fewer concussion symptoms and then eventually none! We highly recommend Healing with Hyperbarics and would consider returning to treat other health issues for the whole family.”
- Denae F.
January 2025 Concussion Highlights
Acute Concussions
Acute concussions are defined as injuries treated within two weeks of occurrence. Our protocols aim for rapid improvement, with many patients experiencing full symptom recovery in just a few days.
13 acute concussions treated in January
1 to 5 treatments per patient until full symptom resolution
4 treatments needed for full recovery, on average
Post-Concussion Syndrome (PCS)
For concussions that linger beyond two weeks, we tailor treatment to each individual’s needs, aiming for the quickest recovery possible.
4 post-concussion syndrome (PCS) patients treated in January
On average, PCS patients required 10 treatments for full symptom resolution
Far From Fargo Impact
Healing with Hyperbarics is a premier concussion clinic, drawing patients from across the Midwest. In January alone, concussion patients traveled a combined 1,399 miles to receive care at our Fargo location.
Supporting Veterans Through Healing
Since opening in 2018, Healing with Hyperbarics has prioritized veteran care through pilot studies with Veterans Affairs, grant programs, and community partnerships.
In 2025, we’re committed to continue offering FREE monthly treatment days for veterans, showing the power of HBO therapy for conditions like PTSD, post-concussion syndrome, traumatic brain injuries and more.
“Started these treatments this month at Healing with Hyperbarics in Fargo as a veteran with the veteran program, and it has been an amazing experience. The staff is AMAZING! … If you’re a veteran and suffer from PTSD and pain, please look into this!”
– Jon K., local veteran
