2024 Year in Review

Transforming Lives with Hyperbaric Healing

A Year of Impact, Growth, and Innovation

As we reflect on 2024, we’re proud to share the impact Healing with Hyperbarics has made in our community. From helping patients recover from concussions to supporting veterans and empowering local athletes, it’s been a year filled with milestones, growth, and hope. Every session represents a step toward healing, and every story reflects the power of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT).

Read on for highlights of our 2024 impact and what’s ahead in 2025!

Concussion Care: Changing Lives, One Treatment at a Time

We treat concussion patients at all stages, from acute injuries within days of occurrence to lingering post-concussion symptoms decades later. Our goal is always the same: to treat the injury until the patient is symptom-free … for good.

2024 Concussion Highlights

  • 66 acute concussions treated within 14 days of injury.

  • Average number of treatments: 3.57 sessions.

  • Acute patients often achieve full symptom resolution quickly.

  • 53 post-concussion patients treated (injuries sustained more than 14 days prior).

  • Treatment duration varies, with treatment varying from as few as 10 sessions all the way up to 30-plus sessions for concussions sustained decades ago.

“Healing with Hyperbarics has changed my life. Eight months post-concussion, I was still struggling with memory issues, constant headaches, ear pain, balance issues, and blurred vision. After five treatments, I feel better than I did pre-concussion! Zero headaches, balance restored, and the brain fog is completely gone. Hyperbarics has been life-changing.”

– Lara B.

Looking ahead to 2025, we’re excited to announce that our research on concussion treatments is set to be published. This work will help us share the science behind HBOT and its role in changing the standard of care for concussion recovery.

Honoring F-M Veterans: Serving Those Who Served Us

Supporting veterans is a cornerstone of our mission, and we’re honored to support the healing journeys of veterans in our community. Through treatment programs, donation campaigns, and partnerships, we’re helping North Dakota veterans—within the Fargo-Moorhead area and beyond—regain their health and well-being with hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT).

2024 Veteran Care Highlights

“Started these treatments this month at Healing with Hyperbarics in Fargo as a veteran with the veteran program, and it has been an amazing experience. The staff is AMAZING! … If you’re a veteran and suffer from PTSD and pain, please look into this!”

– Jon K., local veteran

Athlete Ambassador Program: Leading the Way in Athletic Wellness

In fall 2024, Healing with Hyperbarics launched our first-ever Athlete Ambassador Program, a groundbreaking initiative that connected local student-athletes to the healing and performance benefits of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT).

The program's pilot year was a huge success, thanks to the support of our sponsors, local schools, and the athletes themselves.

“I was a little skeptical at first just because … tight spaces. I didn't know what it was–if it was like a social media fad or what it was–but it was really awesome. Coming into the clinic, you felt very comfortable. The doctor walked you through things, and then getting in there and just basically relaxing and watching TV while your body was healing.”

– Jerica F., 2024 Athlete Ambassador

Community Impact: Building Connections Beyond the Chamber

At Healing with Hyperbarics, 2024 was about more than just treatments—it was about making a difference in the community. From supporting local programs to sharing the healing benefits of HBOT with new audiences, we’re proud of the connections we’ve built this year.

Sharing the Benefits of HBOT

In 2024, we had the privilege of being featured in:

  • Fargo INC Magazine: Highlighting our work in advancing healing and wellness through HBOT. Read all about our quest to help local veterans here.

  • North Dakota Today: Sharing how HBOT supports recovery and overall health. Check out our story here!

“Healing with Hyperbarics is the best! I cannot say enough good about the whole process, let alone the results.  My whole family are huge believers.  The improvement we have seen after treatments for sports injuries, concussions as well as surgeries is amazing. They are extremely knowledgable, caring and compassionate. Dr Denham's research and effort that she has utilized in treating all sorts of symptoms is second to none. Fargo is so lucky to have this clinic in particular to serve our community. We hands-down recommend it and strongly encourage you to try it if you are considering hyperbarics. You won't be disappointed!”

– Julie F.

Programs and Partnerships

We were proud to support a number of local organizations, including:

  • BIO Girls 5K & Youth Run: As a Finish Line sponsor, we connected with participants and their families at the packet pick-up event, as well as cheering the participants across the finish line. BIO Girls is an organization focused on boosting self-esteem in adolescent girls through mentorship and physical activity. We shared how HBOT can support wellness and recovery for young athletes.

  • Moorhead High School Spuds Football and Boys Hockey: As a sponsor, we proudly supported these teams throughout their seasons–seen on their athletic programs, cheering on their efforts both on and off the field.

  • North Dakota High School Coaches Association (NDHSCA): A continued partnership in 2024, we sponsored this organization, which provides education, support, and resources for high school coaches across North Dakota, recognizing the vital role they play in shaping young athletes.

2024 was a year of growth, connection, and impact. We’re grateful to the Fargo-Moorhead community for embracing our mission and look forward to making an even greater difference in 2025.

As we close the chapter on 2024, we’re inspired by the lives we’ve impacted and excited about the opportunities ahead. From advancing concussion care research to expanding veteran programs and continuing to support local athletes, our commitment to healing and community remains stronger than ever.

To all who supported us this year—thank you. Here’s to an even more impactful 2025!
